Our Team
The investment team consists of two investment professionals who have collaborated successfully in previous careers, Patrick F. Dolan and David S. Rajpurohit.
Patrick Dolan CA (UK),
MBA (Columbia)
Mr. Dolan is the founder and general partner of Acadia Fund, L.P. For the past 8+ years, Mr. Dolan has actively managed the portfolio. He also built the multi-factor fundamental model currently used in the stock selection process. Prior to his active involvement with the Acadia Fund, L.P., he managed various corporate finance engagements while with Acadia Asset Advisors Inc.
During the prior 10 years, Mr. Dolan developed his career into one of the top ranked corporate valuation experts in the country, while working in the New York offices of KPMG Peat Marwick. As a senior manager of the corporate valuation practice, he directed the valuation of approximately 300 companies in the U.S., the U.K. and Europe in industries as diverse as manufacturing, banking and broadcasting. His valuation opinions and analyses were used by clients in corporate transactions, litigation support, and tax negotiations with the IRS. After graduation from business school, he had a 3-year stint in management consulting also in the New York office of KPMG Peat Marwick.
Mr. Dolan is a graduate of Columbia Business School with majors in corporate finance and financial markets. Prior to business school, Mr. Dolan trained and qualified as a chartered accountant while working in London. He is a member of the association of chartered certified accountants (ACCA) in the U.K. The ACCA is the world’s largest and fastest growing global professional accountancy body. Mr. Dolan studied at the London School of Accountancy while preparing for his professional accountancy exams. Prior to his return to London, he received a Diploma (in German) from the University of Vienna. Boarding school: Summerhill College, Sligo, Ireland.
He lives in Manhattan with his wife, Carolyn.
David S. Rajpurohit, CFA,
MS (Stanford)
Mr. Rajpurohit is chairman and managing partner of Acadia Asset Advisors Inc. For the past 3+ years, he has actively managed the portfolio in collaboration with Mr. Dolan. Prior to his active involvement with the Acadia Fund, L.P., in 2007, Mr. Rajpurohit was president and founding partner of Stanford Investment Group, Inc. (SIG), a private equity firm (1992-2007). He has a strong record of value creation throughout his career—as an alternative asset investor, management consultant, and operations executive.
Before joining Acadia and SIG, Mr. Rajpurohit was the Area Managing Director in the management consulting practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers (1988-1992). Prior to this, Mr. Rajpurohit was a senior manager at KPMG Peat Marwick (1984-1988) in its New York consulting arm. Here he assembled and led consulting teams providing strategy, operations, and technology consulting at the CEO level to Fortune 1000 companies and investment firms. Prior to his consulting career, Mr. Rajpurohit held executive positions with Becton Dickinson and Johnson & Johnson with responsibilities across the world in operations, strategy and corporate development.
Mr. Rajpurohit holds an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. He is also a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology with a B. Tech and M. Tech. He is a CFA Charter holder.
He is a member of a number of important organizations, including: NYSSA, CFA Institute, IAFE (International Association of Financial Engineers), CAIA Association, MTA, Greenwich Roundtable, ACG, Strategic Leadership Forum, and IEEE. He is a past member of the President’s Council on Competitiveness.
David lives in Ridgewood, New Jersey with his wife Hansa and their three daughters.
